This tall (up to 5m but best pruned back to around 2m), shrubby Fuchsia has dainty posies of blooms in the cooler months. Needs moist but well-drained, humus-rich fertile soils, with a mix of sun and shade but definitely avoiding scorching afternoon sun. Frost tender, so grow under shelter of other trees or near a sheltering wall. A good plant to feed the small birds, bees and butterflies over the hungry winter period.
